Annual or Biennial?
Timeshares are also sold as Annual and Biennial. What does this mean to you, well
Annual means you will get the resort each year on the week you purchased. Biennial
means you get the resort every other year, you will also hear the terms odd, or even years.
This lets you know if you will get the resort for this year.
For example, if you have odd years for your timeshare, you would get years 2007, 2009,
2011.... If you have even years, you get 2006, 2008, 2010....
You might be asking why would I want it Biennial? Well typically, this means you will pay
half of what the Annual timeshare is valued at, since you are getting it only once every
other year. The advantage of doing Biennial, is you might not vacation every year. Or you
might want to own 2 different resorts, one on Even years, and one on Odd Years.
